    • Guided Rainforest Walk

      One of the most naturally diverse areas on earth, the Daintree Rainforest has remained virtually untouched for millions of years and exploring even a fraction of it is an unforgettable experience. Led by a highly knowledgeable guide our rainforest walks, included in your package, offer a fascinating insight into the mysteries of the tropical rainforest – home to over a fifth of Australia’s bird species and some of the world’s largest and most striking butterflies.     • River Cruise

      Said to be the prettiest river on the Coral Coast, the Bloomfield River is also home to a fascinating eco-system and a diverse mix of native wildlife. Our two hour guided cruise, included in your package, takes you upriver as far as the local Aboriginal community at Wujal Wujal, with plenty of opportunities to admire birdlife, and maybe even spot a crocodile or two!     • Kangaji Beach

      This lovely secluded bay is an hours walk through the rainforest from Bloomfield Lodge. It is an idyllic spot to stroll, beach comb and imagine yourself as Robinson Crusoe for a few hours.       Discover a little of Queensland’s heritage with a trip to the old pioneer town of Cooktown, named after Captain James Cook who ran aground on nearby Endeavour Reef in 1770. Alternatively, a 30 minute flight from Bloomfield Lodge takes you to the tiny outback village of Laura, with a chance to visit the world-famous Aboriginal cave paintings dating back over 25,000 years.       Enjoy a magical day on the Great Barrier Reef, aboard our purpose built catamaran, the Bloomfield Explorer. Visiting one of three locations on the Great Barrier Reef with our knowledgeable guides you’ll have the chance to snorkel and fish and our chef will provide a gourmet picnic lunch for you to indulge in.       This local waterfall provides an idyllic spot for a picnic and is reached by 4WD through magnificent scenery. Enjoy an interpretive talk by a member of the local Aboriginal community and learn the spiritual significance of the falls and how for thousands of years they have used the surrounding lands for medicines and food.
